To implement the 'Number One Task' and the 'Number One Project' under the guidance of the disciplinary planning, the Academic Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering convened a meeting on March 12th to review the layout plan of disciplinary directions. The meeting was chaired by Professor Chen Yunfei, the director of the Academic Committee of the school, with members of the school leadership team, heads of various departments, and branch secretaries attending.
At the meeting, Vice Dean Liu Xiaojun presented the layout plan of disciplinary directions on behalf of the college. Starting from the development strategies of the nation and Jiangsu Province, and combining with the distinctive research directions of the School of Mechanical Engineering, suggestions were proposed regarding the layout of common basic disciplines and industry-driven disciplines.
Subsequently, the attendees actively participated in discussions and offered suggestions from multiple perspectives such as talent development, the relationship between disciplines and industries, cutting-edge technology, and management mechanisms, contributing enthusiastically to the construction of disciplinary directions.
Finally, all attendees reached a consensus on the construction of disciplinary directions for the school.
