Relying on the Jiangsu Key Laboratory for Design and Manufacture of Micro-Nano Biomedical Instruments (Director: Professor Yi Hong)the National Medical Research of Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform for Interventional Medical Engineering (Director: Academician Teng Gaojun)the School of Mechanical Engineering at Southeast University (National “Double First-Class” discipline construction), and Zhongda Hospital Southeast University, Precision Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Lab have been committed to the combination of medicine and engineering for the research in light weight and detection limits of magnetic resonance, exploring medical multimodal MR fusion technology, and achieving the integration of multimodal MR systems for diagnosis and interventional treatment. It is responsible for multiple national scientific research projects in the field of magnetic resonance, including the National Key Scientific Instrument and Equipment Development Project, the Major Research plan, and the State Key Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The academic leader of the research group is Professor Yi Hong. The research backbone consists of the Chief Scientist of National 973 Project, the recipient of National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth Scholars, the leading talent of national Ten Thousand Talents Plan, and Talents of the New Century honored by the Ministry of Education.

Precision Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Lab built in Southeast University have been well resourced with the facilities and software& hardware conditions for the development of magnetic resonance magnets, probes, and coils, as well as the application of novel pulse sequences. Taking advantage of the construction opportunity of the National Medical Research of Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform for Interventional Medical Engineering and the support of Academician Teng Gaojun, it will be further improved in the development environment and conditions. The new whole-body MRI system with ultra-high magnetic field and the research& development platform for bedside multimodal MRI and MRI for interventional ablation will be built under the additional equipment cost budget of 20 million (CNY), to construct an international first-class integrated platform for industry, academia, and research of multimodal MR systems for diagnosis and interventional treatment. Collaborate with the Multimodal Data Fusion Platform and the Clinical Intervention Target Platform, it committed to building a global high-end MRI medical technology and the Center for Talent Innovation.


The main research interests of the Precision Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Lab are as follows.

(1) Core component development and system integration

(2) Pulse sequence development and data processing

(3) Low-field MR detection methods with ultra-low limits
