Lecture by Researcher Cui Hailong: Introduction to the International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing and Sharing of Submission Experience

Biography

Cui Hailong, male, is a researcher at the Institute of Mechanical Manufacturing Technology of the China Academy of Engineering Physics and the Deputy Director of the Ultra-Precision Research Center. He is recognized as a national Young Talent and a Distinguished Youth of Sichuan Province, as well as a participant in the China Association for Science and Technology's Youth Talent Lifting Project. Additionally, he serves as the Director of the Editorial Office of the International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Extreme Manufacturing Branch of the China Mechanical Engineering Society.

As a project leader, he has overseen several projects including the National Key R&D Program (Chief Scientist) and the National Natural Science Foundation. His research focuses on the systematic exploration of fundamental theories and key technologies related to high-performance fluid lubrication functional components. He has published over 50 academic papers and holds more than 20 authorized patents. He was awarded the Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Award - Second Prize for Technological Progress.


Presentation Abstract

The editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing (IJEM) is Academician Guo Dongming from Dalian University of Technology. As of 2023, the journal's latest impact factor is 14.7, ranking first in the field of engineering/manufacturing. This report mainly introduces the background and development history of the IJEM, its positioning and main features, the direction of publications and section settings, types of articles, and submission requirements. It also shares various high-level free services provided by the journal's editorial office to authors, such as diamond open access, global promotion, cover design, and editing proofreading. To increase the submission and acceptance rates of articles, it will also discuss key issues involved in the entire process from writing, submission, review, to acceptance of high-quality papers with the audience.
