嘉宾介绍
Yi-Kuei Lin is currently a Lifetime Chair Professor of the Industrial Engineering and Management Department/ Electronics and Electrical Engineering Department/Communications Engineering Institute, Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, China. He received a Bachelor degree in Applied Mathematics Department from Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, China. He obtained his Master degree and Ph.D. degree in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at Taiwan Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, China. He is now serving as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Annals of Operations Research, and Quality Technology & Quantitative Management. His research interest includes performance evaluation, network reliability, operations research, and telecommunication management. He has published more than 250 papers in SCI/SSCI indexed journals.
讲座简介
From the perspective of system service level, this presentation will focus on system/network reliability evaluation for a stochastic flow network where each arc has several possible capacities with a (arbitrary) probability distribution. Many real-life industrial or service systems such as computer systems, telecommunication systems, urban traffic systems, logistics systems, electric power systems, disaster rescue systems can be regarded as stochastic flow networks. System/Network reliability is the probability that the system can transmit a given units of data/commodity from the source(s) to the sink(s) under some specified constraints. These constraints may be budget, time, or length. In this talk, several models and algorithms are introduced for solving different practical industrial and service systems. With the help of artificial intelligence models, some applications for network reliability will be presented as well.
