报告摘要:
We give a short introduction to the linear stability and basic bifurcation phenomena of delayed mechanical oscillators including the time-periodic ones leading to the delayed Mathieu equation paradigm. The engineering examples range from human control of mechanical systems, like balancing or car driving, to dynamic contact problems like machine tool vibrations and wheel shimmy. We conclude to the common underlying dynamical effects of the time delays.
报告人简介：
Prof. Gabor Stepan是布达佩斯工业与经济大学应用力学系系主任，曾任布达佩斯工业与经济大学机械工程学院院长。他是动力学与控制领域国际著名学者，在国际力学界享有很高的学术声誉，是欧洲科学院院士、匈牙利科学院院士、国际理论与应用力学联盟IUTAM执委会委员及驻匈牙利代表，曾获得2011年匈牙利最高科学技术奖Szechenyi Prize以及2015 年Thomas K.Caughey Dynamics Award (ASME)。
Stepan教授长期从事力学系统动力学与控制的研究，在金属切削系统动力学、机器人动力学、时滞系统动力学等方面取得了重要研究成果，出版的两本英语专著被同行广泛采用，发表SCI期刊论文117篇，SCI他引2362次，H-指数为27。
