报告:Advanced research in integrated engineering asset management
报告人:Prof. Lin Ma
Abstract: Engineering Asset Management (EAM) is a new discipline that incorporates a number of traditional disciplines and focuses on systematic approaches to modelling dynamic and complex characteristics of engineering assets in business context. There is an increasing demand for Engineering Asset Management (EAM) research due to aging infrastructure and increasingly competitive environment. EAM activities without optimisation could result in significant risk, financial waste and social as well as environmental consequences. Optimal asset management decisions must be made based on integrated view of business objectives, activities, resources, processes, asset health conditions and other constraints of the organisation. This presentation introduces advanced EAM concept, theory and modelling approaches as well as the significance to China’s future.

Short Bio. Professor Lin Ma obtained her PhD from University of Queensland, Australia in 1993. In last ten years, she led a number of large research projects across multiple institutions funded by commonwealth government and industries in the field of Engineering Asset Management, with total funding over six million dollars. Her research interests include condition based asset health prediction and integrated Asset Management decision optimization and support. She is a research program leader in Cooperative Research Center for Infrastructure and Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM). Together with her team, a number of advanced Asset Management systems/modules and industry utilization cases have been successfully developed. She has received several research excellence awards from government and institution.
